根據最新數據，香港也是內地出境游第一大目的地。2018年前11月，內地訪港旅客接近4600萬人次，比2017年同期上升14.2%。同時數據顯示，日本是人氣排名第一的出境購物目的地國家，在TOP10購物目的地中就有東京、大阪、名古屋三大城市上榜。日本發布的數據也顯示，2018年，赴日本的中國游客達到838萬人次，旅游總消費1.537萬億日元(約合956億元)，遠遠超過其他國家和地區。
值得注意的是，阿聯酋迪拜排名第五，正逐步成為中國游客青睞的新興購物目的地。得益于迪拜對中國公民實施的免費落地簽政策，中國游客人數和消費總額快速增長。
